Clockwork Monkey is a project of Melbourne singer-songwriter, Brendan Bonsack.
This album is in memory of a small country town and its destruction by bushfire. With a nod in the direction of American anti-folk, and a bit of British jangle thrown in, Clockwork Monkey delivers wry social commentary wrapped in an off-kilter, DIY-style of alternative pop. Employing a mixture of traditional rock instruments, found objects, borrowed sounds and digital skulduggery, Clockwork Monkey has found its voice in a mischievous and vulnerable form of storytelling.
Chrissy Misso brings her charming vocal style, and bassist Josh Waddell his trademark cruising finger-work.
