Composer, arranger and producer Hughes de Courson’s albums Mozart in Egypt 1 & 2 are Virgin Classics all-time best sellers with over half a million copies sold worldwide. Aside from the popular Mozart project, Hughes de Courson has explored the fusion of musical cultures in other ‘cross-over’ albums, the highlights of which are featured on this compilation: O’Stravaganza, an encounter between Vivaldi and Celtic music, Songs of Innocence, children’s folk songs from every corner of the world and Lux Obscura, a phantasmagorical journey through time that pulls chants of the Middle Ages into the 21st Century.
