Shallow Life is the fifth studio album by Italian gothic metal band Lacuna Coil. The album, which is the follow-up to their 2006 album Karmacode, is scheduled to be released on April 20, 2009 in Europe and the 21st in North America.

with acclaimed producer Don Gilmore (Avril Lavigne, Linkin Park, Pearl Jam) at the famed NRG Studios in Los Angeles. This new effort is another huge step forward in the band's continuous evolution and marks their first full-length since 2006's Karmacode.
